Coordinating Council Meeting held in the delegation of the EGTC in Bemposta
The Coordinating Council of the Duero-Douro EGTC met last week in Bemposta to monitor the activity of the Grouping.
Among other issues, were reviewed all the activities carried out by the EGTC during 2011, including the educational programs Artists del Duero, knowing each other, Writers Without Borders and Comenius Regio.
Were also addressed the advances for the reintroduction of goats on the border with Self Prevention, and agreed to the formation of the board to invite tenders for hiring public between energy service companies for the renovation works of the lighting systems in villages adhered to the project of Energy Efficiency in Public Lighting.

It took stock of the activities to raise awareness of equal opportunities among young people through the project Creating Networks of Equality in the Duero-Douro Border.
Were also approved the basis of Frontera Natural and set December 23 as the deadline for members of the EGTC submit up to three environmental rehabilitation works they wish to perform in their municipalities.
The Coordination Council agreed at the meeting convening the Ordinary General Assembly of the EGTC Duero-Douro.
The celebration was set for next December 17th, Saturday; at the Municipal Auditorium in Miranda do Douro, at 10:00.
All members of the Duero-Douro EGTC have been called to this meeting.

News on the organizational chart
After the last municipal elections in Spain, joined the Chair of the Employment Sector Council the Mayor of Espeja, Clotilde Muñoz, and chairing the Environment Sector Council the Mayor of Villaseco del Pan, Felipe Cuesta.
At the next General Assembly of the EGTC, members will elect the Vice President.
The rest of the organization remains unchanged, since the positions of General Director and Territorial Coordinator are elected for a period of 4 years, and the President and Vice President are elected for a period of 6 years.

Endo Youth Network will cover the territory of the EGTC imparting workshops on utilization of resources

This weekend begins Endo Youth Network, an educational project for young people of the territory between 18 and 30 years with which the EGTC aims to highlight the value of endogenous resources in rural areas. In practical terms, through free workshops, participants will discover how to use the resources in their area adapting traditional practices to job opportunities of today.
This Saturday, July 19 Endo Youth Network began its first activity in Miranda do Douro with the workshop "The value of endogenous resources," a unique opportunity to learn about the Center for the Improvement of Donkey from Miranda, the rehabilitation of traditional façades, pigeon houses recovery and the production process of Miranda donkey milk.
